Ways to Support GLA
Renew or Become a New Member
Help us promote the conservation of Big Green Lake and its watershed by renewing your membership or becoming a new member! Learn more about becoming a member or donate now to renew or become a member.
Become A Leadership Donor
Leadership donors are members who give above and beyond their annual renewal donation. Their financial commitment plays a large role in our efforts to educate lake users on the potential threats to Big Green and the efforts to minimize these threats.
Honor Gifts/Memorial Gifts
Remember your loved by establishing a memorial fund. Contributions made in honor of a family member or friend is a lasting way to preserve their life while also preserving the water and surrounding lands that meant so much to them. Learn more about honor and memorial gifts by contacting the GLA office at 920.294.6480.
Employer Match
Ask your employer if it will match your charitable donations. If so, request an Employer Matching Funds Form from your employer and double your financial contribution to the GLA.
Insurance Policy
Names the nonprofit as primary beneficiary of a life-insurance policy.
Appreciated Securities and Real Estate
If the donor has stock or real estate that has increased in value and they have held the stock or real estate for more than a year, the donor receives a charitable deduction for the full fair-market value of the gift and escapes any potential tax on the capital-gain element in the gifted securities or real estate. Shares need to be transferred to your organization. Set up an account with a stock brokerage house. (Note: when considering a gift of property that has gone down in value, a donor would be better off to sell the property to realize a deductible loss and then contribute the proceeds to the nonprofit and obtain a charitable deduction.)
Go Paperless
Conserve and protect resources by going paperless! Add www.greenlakeassociation.com to your list of Internet bookmarks and sign up for GLA’s E-Blasts, periodic e-mails sharing up-to-date information on events, programs, and GLA news.
Members choosing to go paperless will receive event reminders, updates, and notifications via GLA’s e-blasts. Newsletters and membership directories will be available online. Members choosing to go paperless will still receive Leadership and membership renewal requests through the mail. If you want to go paperless, contact Ainsley at the GLA office, 920.294.6480 or email her at: ainsleyrubbert@greenlakeassociation.com.
