In the spirit of protecting and enhancing Big Green Lake, the Green Lake Association
awards a single, non-renewable $2,000 scholarship to a deserving student
in the local
area. The scholarship is awarded to a student who:
has participated in activities and/or projects that relate to Wisconsin’s natural resources, in particular those that benefit Big Green Lake and its watershed
is committed to conservation of natural resources
intends to pursue an education related to conservation.
Eligibility
High school senior enrolled at Green Lake, Markesan, Princeton, or Ripon High School
Participates in projects or activities related to the study and/or conservation of natural resources, especially those in the Big Green Lake watershed
Evidence of continuing interest and commitment to the study of naturalresources
High academic standing (minimum cumulative grade point of 3.0)
Selection Process After April 10, The Green Lake Association Board of Directors will select one student to receive a non-renewable scholarship of $2,000. Applicants will be notified of the results at the school’s spring recognition event. The scholarship recipient will also be featured in GLA publications. Upon receipt of an official transcript verifying successful completion of first semester post-secondary coursework, a check will be drawn payable to the student.

(pdf) and submit it along with your letter of reference to your school guidance office by April 1. Your guidance counselor will mail all applications to the Green Lake Association.
