2nd Annual Fundraiser Hot Havana Nights on the shores of Green Lake

On Friday, July 8th, 2011, we rolled back the clocks to 1951 in celebration of our 60th anniversary and 2nd annual gala fundraiser, Hot Havana Nights on the shores of Green Lake. The evening began at 6 p.m. and concluded at 10 p.m. at the Heidel House Resort & Spa, 643 Illinois Ave. Guests journeyed back to the balmy nights of 50s Havana, Cuba where the sweet smell of cigars and the rattle of maracas filled the air.

Dressed in your vintage Havana attire, the night included socializing, live entertainment from salsa band Orquesta Alto Maiz, as well as fundraising activities including a live and silent auction and raffles, all to support current and future programs to help promote the conservation of Big Green Lake and its watershed.
